About The Artwork

When a rock breaks in two, you get two rocks. But when a chair breaks in two you get two parts of a chair. Why the difference? What makes something only a part of something else? A leaf, detached from a tree and ripped in two would still have parts of the leaf and not new leaves whereas broken rocks can be any shape.
