"7.83 Hertz" - This artwork is named for the Schumann Resonance. First measured in the early 1960s, the very low-frequency 7.83 Hz has been called the Earth’s “heartbeat.” The frequencies, created from thunderstorms and lightning are electromagnetic waves in Earth's lower ionosphere and are thought to be related to different kinds of brain waves, perhaps hypnosis, meditation, and considered healing in nature. 7.83 Hertz is a floral abstract painting on high-quality Strathmore watercolor paper. Created in 2023 by artist Maura Satchell, the captivating original artwork features a vibrant color palette with aqua, cerulean blue, black, gold, alizarin crimson red, primary yellow, and white. "7.83 Hertz" is a true celebration of nature's beauty and resonance. The intricate details include blossoms, seed pods, and a graceful dragonfly, all interwoven with waves symbolizing the Schumann Resonance. Maura Satchell reveres nature and It is the artist's hope that the audience will feel that same attraction to nature. She tried to capture the beauty and energy of nature's resonance and hopes it inspires and enriches the audience's surroundings and reinforces or sparks a unique connection to the natural world when viewing this work and that those who buy original or print enjoy the natural world's allure and energy in their own space.
