About The Artwork
Woman In Shower is one of my early pastel paintings showing the back view of a woman shampooing her hair under the shower in a bath. A shower curtain partially covers her body. The actual image is within a small border and measures approx W360cm x H350cm. The border shows slight tear marks from where the painting was taped to board during its creation. I'm not sure of the exact date, but it would have been in the late 80s. For this reason, I have not dated the work on the back of the picture. Titled and signed on back. From memory, the paper base is Canson Dessin, 200gsm. Works as a pair to Woman In Shower II. Would suit very reasonably priced Ikea white or dark brown Virserum frame, Article Number : 501.747.62. Priced AUD $60. The frame comes with its own mat, but the window would need to be enlarged slightly to show the whole image.

I trained in Art & Design in Melbourne with a major in printmaking (etching). My art is mainly expressionist, sometimes abstract with an illustrative, dreamlike bent.
