VIEW IN MY ROOM
Although Jimi Hendrix sadly passed away in 1970 when I was only 6 Years old, he was such a huge musical influence on myself and millions of young boys and girls growing up through the mid late seventies. Jimi was one of the biggest cultural figures of the Sixties and probably the greatest modern guitarist of all time. A man who not only played left-handed with a right-handed Fender Stratocaster but played it upside down, Jimi certainly stood out but what really captivated me was the sound he produced, the pedals, effects combined with unique electronic sound source, it was like a whole new vocabulary of sound. Jimi had a theatrical performing style — full of unmistakably sexual undulations and showman tricks like playing the guitar with his teeth and behind his back — has never quite been equaled. “The story of life is quicker than the wink of an eye, the story of love is hello and goodbye...until we meet again” Jimi Hendrix
