About The Artwork
This piece was created because I really like the short, three storey twin pagodas at the Chinese Gardens in Singapore. Pagodas are typically really tall, but these twins are short but look like they are floating upon the lake. I feel pagodas are important to East Asian Culture and are a stoic reminder of being firm and resolute, while being grand and elaborate. I sketched this during the pandemic, when I was recovering from a burnout. Sketching gave me a new lease of life.
