About The Artwork
In December in Sicily the light at sunset is very warm and the greens quite saturated. I planned to capture this particular moment of the town of Gangi by taking advantage of the cloudy and changeable weather. Robert Capa saw these places and landscapes following the American troops in 1943. The photo shows the town of Gangi and the snow-capped Etna volcano behind it. The shot was taken from Monte Corvo at about 1000m above sea level.
