About The Artwork
Scene of a garden meadow on the banks of Lake Windermere in the Lake District in Cumbria. Windermere is a beautiful lake and surrounding it there are lush trees and meadows. On the right hand side is a buddleja shrub and throughout the meadow there was sorrel and hog weed looking distinctive. I tried to bring out these plants with a little detail and used larger washes to represent the distant trees. I've tried to emphasise the natural beauty of the place with colour.
