About The Artwork
This is a scene of the village of Wetheral looking from the hill down into the village. Eastern art and wood block prints helped inspire the work. I had recently discovered Quink as a medium which has these unusual propeties of splitting into other colours when water is added. It is a jolly scene and the idea is the dog appreciates the landscape but the people are just going about their business.
