About The Artwork
Impression of a view of Puerto Pollensa, Majorca,Spain. This painting was inspired by a postcard sent to me by my friend on her holiday. I was attracted by the beautiful, blue bay and little bobbing fishing boats and wanted to capture the light radiating from the sky onto the two headlands in the distance. Here, I have enjoyed applying acrylic paint in a loose style, on small 3.5 inch deep box canvas.

Born 1965,Northampton, UK. I am currently painting and drawing from my studio in an old shoe factory in my home town of Northampton. 1988 - I graduated with a BA (hons) in Fashion and Textiles with Business . My work experience as a textile designer includes London-based fashion and furnishing studios and the contemporary interiors company; Designers Guild. During my training as a textile designer, I developed my own style of painting, printing and drawing. Paint has always been my medium of choice. Oils are particularly preferential, as they enable me to create areas of surface texture or depth by layering and adding mediums for flow.
