About The Artwork

This artwork is created using high quality materials for permanence, and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The painting is signed on the reverse, professionally varnished for long-lasting protection, and is delivered ready-to-hang. The design is based on an engraving from one of the first sets of encyclopedias dedicated to ‘Applied Electricity’, printed around 100 years ago. This is a technical diagram showing the power generator which was in use at Columbia University in New York City around 1910. Columbia University is abbreviated to C.U. which sounds like ‘See You’, and it’s a generator which can be abbreviated to ‘Gen’ which sounds like ‘Jen’, hence the name ‘See You Jen’. Jerry Saltz, the prominent New York art critic, wrote: "Leo, You are amazing! The piece is beautiful; we love having it", after acquiring one of Jahaan's artworks for his own collection. These timeless pieces from Leo Jahaan make a fantastic addition to any contemporary art collection.
