I have enjoyed very much my interpretations of my visit to Rio. My sketchbook from the time serves as a springboard for exploring this sunny and uplifting subject matter. My focus is on the balance between the throng of humanity spread across the sand and the immense backdrop of modern buildings starting to blend with the colour of the summer sky.
