One day his dad was taking him to school, he looked at him and then asked, "dad, am I adopted" and his dad looked at him puzzled and responded , "no you are not, why would you ask that", "because I look different from you and mum"........ His dad is caucasian and his mum is african american so he is of mixed race. He is a young boy trying to figure out his identity. This painting is a tribute to all people struggling with the same issues , in the end we are all the same but live in a world so obsessed with race and identity it leaves us constantly trying to figure out who we are and where we stand. I donated the original to a worthy cause, it has since been sold but I always wonder who the collector of this original piece is and where it finally landed. In order to breathe new life into this significant piece of art, I am making it available for prints to be purchased. That others may share in its message of love and unity, one world... one people.
