“My Cabin in the Woods in Winter” This painting is a wintery version of my previous 'Cabin in the Woods in Summer' painting. Are you dreaming of having a very secluded wooden cabin far, far away in the forest, with the nearest neighbor miles away? This artwork is for you! Whimsical painting featuring a snowy winter landscape, with a rustic log cabin nestled in the woods, surrounded by trees. Perfect for nature lovers and outdoors adventure lovers! For the snow around the cabin, I used a mix of white acrylic paint, modeling gel and a bit of glitter, to create texture with a soft glistening effect. A semi-abstract woodland landscape painted in a naive folksy style, in soft pastel colors – light blue, sky blue, baby blue, ice blue, light purple, lavender, lilac, turquoise, aqua, white, light gray, light beige. Dimensions: Artwork is 27 x 27 inches (68.6 x 68.6 cm) Plus an extra 2” (5 cm) white border all around, for ease of stretching/framing Orientation: Square Medium: Acrylic paint, modeling gel, glitter On unstretched cotton canvas primed with four coats of gesso Sealed with a coat of satin varnish for protection Signature on front Title, year and signature on back Comes with signed certificate of authenticity Shipped rolled and carefully packaged in a sturdy tube. Can easily be stretched or framed by your local framing shop. Once upon a time, there was a creative little girl named Caro. She loved spending her time creating drawings, which she then sold for 5 cents or 10 cents to passers-by in front of her family house. She dreamed of being an artist when she grew up. Years later, her dream came true. She graduated in graphic design in 1999, and spent the following twelve years working as a graphic designer and art director. Then, finding that her work was not satisfying her thirst for creativity and her need for artistic freedom, she opened her own creative online shop in 2012. Over the years, Caro's love for everything related to art and creation made her experiment with various techniques (drawing, painting, screen printing, linocut), as well as multiple mediums and supports (paper, wood, ceramic, canvas, watercolor, acrylic, ink, digital). Self-employed surface designer and illustrator, she has found herself painting more and more over the last few years, with a preference for acrylic on canvas, in an abstract expressionist style. Caro enjoys creating in the seclusion and quietness of her lakefront home studio in Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc, QC, Canada.
