Oil on board painting of performance artist and fashion designer Leigh Bowery. I have learnt that sometimes it is better to stop when I have a good feeling about a piece. This one, concerned with Bowery's obsession with animals and transformation, has a feel of deconstruction about it which I like. He was a game changer for style in the 80s when Taboo was the best club to be seen at if you were brave enough to dress to impress.

Drawing, performance, assemblage, film, collage, oil painting and the re-use of materials and objects is central to his work. Tim won the Ovalhouse prize at Chelsea College of Art, and Gloucester University prize at the Open West in 2015. He is a member of the committee of the Newlyn Society of Artists. Has exhibited in Berlin and Baku Zdonov in the Czech Republic and is represented by Daisy Laing, Penzance, Avalon in Marazion and Jupiter Newlyn.
