I am taken with flowers as they are transformed somehow when painted by the human hand. In the process of painting them, I come to see the translucency of the petals, and their position next to one another in almost abstract terms. As designs and patterns emerge in ways not apparent in the real-life composition, the flowers attain a presence not always obvious in the physical flower(s) itself. This painting is wired on the back for both horizontal and vertical positioning on the wall.
