This painting was inspired by seeing some children blowing bubbles. It made me think of a fantasy scene, sort of dreamy and a bit hazy, in slow motion.

Antoinette's paintings are considered 'naive' in style, drawing mostly on her imagination. Her work invites the viewer to enter into her sometimes surreal world of dreams and fantasy. Solitary figures, animals and long shadows are recurring themes where there is always a little light to be found in the dark.
