I continue to be fascinated with the other worldliness of being underwater. The grace and fluidity of movement, the silence and the change of light change when underwater. I enjoy working with my models as they dive, jump and swim while I photograph them. Being in the water myself is part of the process and the feelings I enjoy during this process become part of the final image.

@fionaphillipsartstudio When not in my studio I like to spend time with my family, go to nurseries, the beach and farmer's markets, eat really good food and dance in the kitchen. I believe in kindness. My studio practice consists of figurative oil paintings, photography and wearable art. I am interested in the junction between vintage and modern and the stresses of contemporary society on the individual. I love flowers, the beach and water in general. Just to relax I like to make small plein air paintings.
