This is the second abstracted female nude that Angela has painted in a series showing strength and beauty of women. She abstracts the forms so that the subject could represent many women and not just one specific person. The subjects appear to be emerging from or perhaps fading into the background, which alludes to the contrasting views of the roles that women play in society. Angela aims to represent strength, character, and confidence of women in this series. This series of paintings is still ongoing with more in the works. This painting has been created with artist's quality acrylic paint on exhibition grade wood panel. The entire painting has been sealed with clear gesso under the acrylic and the painting is varnished with a matte UV clear coat. The sides of the painting are exposed wood to give it a contemporary feel. It comes wired, ready to hang, or your can frame it to suit your space. It would look great in a floating frame in a neutral color.
