My background of studying literatue as an undergraduate made me interested in emotions and drama in people's lives. Just a gaze in a short moment sometimes represent the person's whole life. I like to catch the moment and express it on canvases with different textures and colors. (this piece is round-format, has been exhibited in LA art fair in January 2019)

People I have met, as well as movies, animations, novels, songs, and art history, all contribute to the kaleidoscope of inspiration that fuels my work. Using oil, I apply layers of texture and vibrant color contrasts onto wooden surfaces. Through the use of brushes and knives, I strive to bring depth and tactile richness to my paintings.
