About The Artwork

The definition of dilemma refers to the argument made up of two contrary and disjunctive propositions. In these difficult days, dilemmas put us in a situation of doubt, debating between two alternatives, thinking only of ourselves or thinking of all of us. In this work, the dilemmas are proposed as metaphors of human behavior in the face of an individual and collective crisis, on the one hand, an interior architecture, illuminated but cold and overflowing, against the external landscape that evokes the disturbing and uncertain, liberating and tempting . . On the other hand, through the representation of paper balls leaving or entering, active or immobile, we debate between the necessary social distance or the unstoppable egoism of the desire for individual and absurd mobility ... It is only a subjective reflection on the need not to establish useless dilemmas, ..... a humble creative proposal for times of crisis to help avoid the damn "tram dilemma" ... Inappropriate aesthetics for the representation of a landscape with figures where the paper as wrinkled and pulled support becomes the protagonist of the work created ... everything is born with it to create a certain or uncertain, physical or metaphysical, regular and irregular space to think about , write, draw, paint ... only a disposable means to find a harmony always within its own space, or not ... The culprit is always me. UNIQUE ARTWORK digital print on aluminum 90 x 90 cm. Work created from photomontages and sketches with charcoal, pencil and digital painting with treatment in Photoshop on PC. The support used for final printing is dibond matt aluminum 3mm.

Born in the old Barrio del Carmen in the city of Valencia (Spain) in 1958. Late creative and self-taught. I grew up living in a stage where creative movements and trends converged with a marked critical, social and political sense: Equipo Crónica (Rafael Solbes and Manuel Valdés), Equipo Realidad (Cardells and Ballester), Juan Genovés, Artur Heras, Boix, Armengol, Julio Bosque, and many others. There were several generations between the years 70, 80 and 90 that marked me decisively, I learned ideas, techniques, concepts, the critical sense and to understand beyond the formalisms getting into other creative fields that would give an important turn to my training process. I believe that each one of our referents is in our work, we have sucked them off, we learned from them, but in my case I owe a lot to all those teachers who are in my essence and to whom I read, see and always keep in mind, thanks to José de Ribera, Juan de Juanes, El Bosco, El Greco, Velazquez, Goya, Piccasso, Malevich, Kandinsky, Magritte, Hopper, and many others ... thanks to all of them for making me addicted to the creativity.
