Drawing "... with connotations of beatitude ... " as written in the Oxford Companion to English Literature, " ... visionary enlightenment ... "; beyond restrictive boundaries, in search of peace in the world, and of the light of sun rays. (But somebody said that, perhaps, many young people would not have gone astray if they knew that Jack Kerouac spent all his life with his mother.) Note For a short while I even tried to change my name: 'Mezzadra' is a family name rooted in the country around Pavia- which I like so much, though ( together with my being half Sicilian ). 'Metz' sounded more international, beyond boundaries.
