Mixed Media on Paper - white acrylic paint base scratched /drawn on with pigmented stones, ink rubbed in with cloth then finished with coloured crayons and graphite stick. This image emerged from experimentation with spontaneous drawing techniques - initially drawing without any subject matter or image in mind , using pigmented stones found on a river bank to scratch into the surface of the white acrylic painted paper , then rubbing in the pigment from the stones , developing on any appealing shapes which emerged. In this particular drawing , a somewhat unusual and rather grotesque and ambiguous image developed .
