About The Artwork
People with eating disorders often experience a distortion of body image. They may perceive their bodies in a distorted way, and this can contribute to their preoccupation and desire to control their weight and appearance. People with eating disorders may find themselves socially isolated. It is like being trapped by one's own body that becomes like a cage, a barrier even on an emotional level and consequently in relationships with others Discomfort with one's own body and fear of judgment from others can lead to avoidance of social situations. All this has inspired my research and my photographic work that I present and propose
