About The Artwork
As I live close to Central Park in Manhattan, I photograph there on a daily basis. There is never a walk from which I return without a photograph. Recently this small pond on the northern side of the park has become my focus in the park. It is somewhat secluded so there aren’t many visitors here to disturb the wildlife that calls it its home, including this beautiful heron that I photograph frequently. It has a certain majesty about it, and it is the quietest of animals in the park. I was particularly happy to make this image as the composition was perfect in my view.
