About The Artwork
Wisteria is an original abstract painting using acrylic and oil paints in dusty pink and earthy tones. It is a large toned down painting that is layered thickly with these pink and pastel shades, the direction I have dragged and brushed on the paint evident in the final piece. Because of its thick texture and multitude of colours, this painting is a fantastic addition to a room, a great focal point. The combination of dusty pinks and light browns in this abstract composition along with its texture has reminded people of the beach or ripples in puddles. To me, the flecks of purples with the light brown led me to name it Wisteria. Wisteria was donated to an auction for a charity fund raiser for the Royal National Institute of Blind People on Wednesday the 15th of November 2017 at the Dans Le Noir restaurant in London.
