About The Artwork
One of my back portrait series, with modelling clay as a primer for the outlined person depicted, applied to vintage cloth, here being a men's shirt mounted on stretcher bars, then painted on and silk thread stitching added. In this series I try to capture persons seen from behind, with hair carelessly done up, in order to reveal their independence and vulnerability both at once
