I have a love for the movie West Side Story and I have been planning on doing a painting fora long time based on it. I wanted to feature the characters from the film as well as the New York skyline. He is known for painting cows as portraits and in folk art landscapes. Fairytales and children stories are some of the inspiration in his paintings with Peter Pan featuring in past works. He is also influenced by the British work of Lowry and the Scottish landscape. European naive art and American folk art are also an influence in his work.
