This painting is from a photograph I took in London, UK. I was fascinated by the way they used space in their buildings. Apartments in the basement all they way up 3, 4 stories or more. I was impressed at the green space they created. A little color in a predominantly gray world. While I usually work in oils, I used watercolor for this one. Trying out a new medium.

I was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 31, 1950. I currently work in oils but have also worked in water colors and stained glass.I currently live in rural Michigan but spent the majority of my life living in Detroit. I have always been conscious of social conditions and the environment around me. I try to reflect my feelings about these issues in my paintings. I feel art, should among other things, stir ones conscious toward issues that impact their fellows.
