Thin Green Painting

Motion within motion is created between the black outline of the green climbing shape that is central in this piece, while lighter green and blue draws the eye to the wandering lines within the green shape. A white background with blurred red dots frames it all. This is painted on what I call Wine Paper (the paperboard used in cases of wine). I used this for its ability to hold a great deal of paint, its texture, and to reduce what I send to the landfill. Upcycled art has many appearances and I want this Wine Paper collection to demonstrate the possibilities of using alternative mediums and styles. Additionally, I have placed this piece in a refurbished wooden frame. The original is gel stick, ink, acrylic marker, and marker on paperboard.
