About The Artwork
This is not the first time I paint this subject matter, and probably not the last one. I love the myth of Zeus, in the form of a white bull, abducting Europa across the sea. I love it as a subject matter for a painting and I am very interested in the way it has been depicted through the years. I like the monumental character of the figure of the bull in my painting, and the way it reflects in the water. The girl laying down the bull's back completes the composition.
