About The Artwork

As an artist who has created a four painting composition titled "Jewish Holidays," I am excited to share with you a single painting from this collection, dedicated to the Jewish holiday of Passover. This particular painting is a visual representation of the rich symbolism and meaning behind Passover, combining historical and spiritual elements to create a cohesive representation of the holiday. The painting depicts an angel blowing a trumpet on the upper half, situated above the stone tablets of the covenant. This represents the moment when Moses received the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai, a pivotal event in Jewish history. The angel blowing the trumpet is a symbol of the divine presence and power that was present during this moment. On the bottom half of the painting, a huge crowd of people can be seen crossing the sea between the walls of water. This crowd is protected by huge wings that guard this passage, symbolizing the divine protection that God provided to the Jewish people during their escape from slavery in Egypt. The event being depicted is the splitting of the Red Sea, which allowed the Israelites to escape from the pursuing Egyptian army. At the left bottom corner of the painting, there is a goblet with Easter wine and women dancing in a dance with tambourines. This represents the traditional Passover Seder, a ritual meal that is held on the first two nights of Passover. The goblet of wine represents the four cups of wine that are drunk during the Seder, each representing a different aspect of the Jewish redemption from slavery. The women dancing with tambourines represent the joy and celebration that is an important part of the Passover holiday.

In my work I make my utmost effort to bring forward the abundant beauty and splendor that is withheld in the Judaic Art. In my method, I do this by embedding the numerous Jewish symbols and icons that have developed throughout many centuries of our rich history and heritage. The symbols mainly identify signs of fortune from the Kabbalah like good health, prosperity, fertility and so on. I believe, that when a person stares at the picture and detects the signs, the fortune will come upon him or her.Peace and Blessings from Israel
