This is a view from a hill above the river Wye in Powys, Wales, to the Black Mountains. From a sketch on a January walk and finished in the studio, I was particularly caught by the mist in the distance, the darkness of the mountains and the fragment of water. This is a deep sided unframed canvas with the sides painted a medium grey.
