Temporary Assemblage II Painting

These were my intentions when I painted this series of Temporary Assemblages: -Attempt at constructing existential meaning by piling up of fragments into a cohesive unity. -Hybridity of the assemblage. The eclectic individual elements (gestures, abstract shapes and partly recognisable objects) are meant to be represent various components of one’s identity, of a particular situation or moment. That comes partly from my mosaic like sense of identity (not having grown up in one place, I mostly feel foreign and “composed” of a different influences) -Precarious state of Being when disparate elements come together for a brief moment of cohesion before the inevitable collapse or dispersion.
