About The Artwork
The subject is my supermodel, Drew, whom I've worked with for 15 years. We were listening to "Pictures at an Exhibition" by Mussorgsky. Drew was telling me what all the parts meant, what type of picture we were meant to be looking at. Painted in a traditional style with timeless themes of life and the inevitability of fading and dying, and the hope we can live good lives, making the best of our time. I use archival, museum quality methods and materials. This painting will easily last many hundreds of years. It has been custom framed by a fine furniture maker in a simple hardwood floater frame.
