Nasa produced several photographs when the red giant, Betelgeuse seemed to be going supernova, but the Orion's shoulder seems to be resting again. I find this very exciting, it is 642.5 Light Years away and this is a fun piece. Having fireflies in the trees and grass was a wishful whimsy because I've not seen them since I was a child.

I was born in South Africa and then studied for at Rhodes University under professor Brian Bradshaw. I lived in Northwestern British Columbia, Canada for 9 years. and during that time opened an art gallery (with gift shop), and a working studio where I painted and taught people to do the same. Although being a landscape painter using pastel has been a lifelong love, I now explore other media in an effort to express my strong thoughts and emotions\ . This has been a voyage of discovery where I have found new dimensions I was only able to dream of in the past. Please note that ALL of my images (C.N.
