About The Artwork

Silver Lining When there is, or has been some heavy thoughts, it is great to have some silver linings to help balance the perspective. Whether it is action needed or a letting go, it is nice to have something to fall on, or to go to. At times, those personal times or spaces are enough to unwind and give some positivity. Some sustenance for the mind and therefore, overall. The format and colours of the painting is purposeful, with the interest and flow throughout. Starting with a thought in mind, it principally was initiated with the colour scheme and then developed through psychic automation. Nothing rigid in thought, which is why I enjoy making and adding to this body of work. It is an expressive abstract series which I would like to convey to you, the viewer. This piece is made in mixed media, on a gallery wrapped stretched canvas, which has its four sides paternally painted in a mottled effect, as may be seen from the additional images. It has a modern look and is intentioned not be framed. To help with the viewing and not distract from it, I have chosen to sign it on the back of the painting, together with the other markings. All the best, Zeal.

Jason is a painter and illustrator of various styles and different media for different ends. Principally a surrealistic and abstract artist, he has a fondness for satire and caricature, with a hint of humour fantasy and the whimsical. Nevertheless, there is a realistic and a sober aspect to some of his work too. His different genres of works are ongoing series which are added to from time to time, whether it is his Aviary, Abstract, Allegoric or any other style he employs. World events, social affairs and politics draw his attention, but he can be inspired by everything and anything seen, heard or felt. His expression can be direct or ambiguous. What is prevalent throughout his work is light, movement and flow, hardly any black is employed, leaning towards enlightenment.
