About The Artwork
New series of paintings called ' Segmented Reality '. Another group of paintings exploring human nature painted in slightly abstract style. Surreal is almost only way to approach and to get into complexity of human mind. Sanity ( a very fragile concept of conventional view on behaviour of human brain ) dreams, twilight of human mind, environment, disease...all that realty makes a very rich base to build a frame for a painting. This new cycle will try to get deeper into human soul. Painted with Matisse acrylic paints with addition of liqutex satin to make colours richer and almost oil likes. Thin layer or varnish painted after painting was fully dry. Hanging cord will be added before shipping.

Born in Croatia in 1958, Tony Belobrajdic is a Sydney based figurative artist. He started exhibiting in the late seventies and had his first solo show in 1983 in Croatia. Tony moved to New York in 1987 where he continued his art practice. He exhibits both in Sydney and Europe regularly. Acrylics, watercolours and oils have been the mediums of choice. Etchings is the latest medium being explored and studied with a great passion. His style could be described as contemporary impressionism, mostly portraits and figures. Tony's artwork demonstrates distinct freedom using spontaneous brushstrokes and vivid colours. He combines layered figuration of human forms put in abstract situations.
