About The Artwork
The "Good Morning Rooster" is a modern impressionistic painting of a rooster. He's bright, and cheerful and a bit "cocky" and it shows. I saw this rooster and just had to have a photo to paint from. He seemed to be standing still for his portrait The background of muted grays sets off the brilliant coloring of his feathers. The morning sky is still pinky orange delineated by a painterly purple line on the horizon. The loose brushwork follows the drawing lines without covering them completely giving a very modern feeling to the overall artwork. The painting is acrylic on a gallery wrap canvas 2.5" deep. The deep sides of the panel are painting in the gray tones. The painting is ready to hang or display on a picture ledge.
