My country is struggling with unresolved longstanding issues around race and equity and newly-created problems that arise daily from the current administration. In my search for a hopeful attitude to adopt, I am inspired by the musical, "Hamilton," created by Lin-Manuel Miranda, and in particular, the following passage from the song. "My Shot": Rise up! When you’re living on your knees, you rise up! Tell your brother that he’s gotta rise up! Tell your sister that she's gotta rise up! When are these colonies gonna rise up?
