I wanted to make a free floating type painting that would make anyone looking at the painting and wonder are the spheres coming closer or moving further away. The color dots inside the circles were painstakingly done with a eye dropper. Took some time to do this painting, but I was quite happy with the finished painting. The light blue background, and the orange red circles, I think really work good together. This is a painting that needs to be look at standing back from it to see the effect. I hope you enjoy it.

. I paint mostly with acrylics. I like to paint on canvases that are medium size that can fit nicely in a hall way or living room to add some color and interest to a dull area. Color, as you can see by my paintings is a very important element to me. I like to expand ideas by playing with the colors in the painting. I will paint over a color if I don't think it works, and I spend a great deal of time planning each piece. I am painting or drawing all the time but many of my paintings are not finish works for several weeks. I started painting at a very early age, and have painted off and on for many years.I can be reach also with a email. I live and paint in Fort Collins, Colorado near the mountains. I like this area to live in because it makes a great place to come up with ideas. I started drawing and painting at an early age but when I was in high school in the late 1960's that is when I really started painting with enamels and oil paints. Then while I was in college I became interested in art classes and geometric drawing. But I kept painting all at the the same time. Then I realize I could paint in a more " Geometric Abstraction" way. I learn about a Artis name Theo Van Doesburg who in 1917 did a painting called the "Card Players" which is a early Geo-Abstaaction. So I put more of an efford towards painting in that style. After college I tried to sell my, but I soon found out how hard that was. So I put my art away for a while. And started working to make enough money to live on. I came back to painting again after I retired. I love to paint which now I am finally able to do. I like to mix up different styles of abstract with impression, but I almost always fall back into painting Geo. Abstraction. Many of my ideas for paintings come from my years spent in manufacturing and working in different types of industrial jobs. I am in my 70's now, and I plan to keep painting until I run out of ideas or time. I really only show my paintings on Saatchi and to friends. I have a lot of paintings that I don't show on Saatchi. Anyway I hope you like what you see and might like to collect some.
