About The Artwork
I love portraying animals. The eagle is such a majestic bird with it's fine beak white feathered head and piercing eyes. I started with an abstract acrylic white and pewter background worked with the spatula to give it texture. I then add a full silhouette of the animal in full charcoal over the dried acrylic. To add details, i simply work with erasers of different shapes and sizes to slowly erase the charcoal, invite the background to show making the bird magically take shape...
