About The Artwork
This work was inspired by the beautiful animal that is the Highland bull. The artist loves to sit in the field with them for hours observing them and listening to their breathing. She is hoping this painting will make you feel their gentle warm nature thru a thoughtful and caring eye. An acrylic abstract backgroung forms the base for the animal silhouette to be then added over in charcoal. The details then appear by gently and carefully erasing the excess charcoal letting the background show through... a coat of varnish covers the artwork and allows the animal in charcoal to be securely set over the acrylic.
