This painting was inspired by a field of poppies right by the St-Lawrence river in the Province of Quebec in the Gaspe area. It is a beautiful place to spend a summer with ongoing gentle sea salt breezes and tons of blooming flower fields aside the famous Reford Gardens. It was created in the hopes of bringing a little bit of this place into your home, hence brightening even the most cloudy days... It is created entirely with the palette knife, allowing the hand to freely guide the artistic process.
