This artwork was inspired from the Passion of the Christ; the Piercing of the Christ's Side. "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and immediately came there out blood and water" John 19:34. I painted it on wood board, that I prepared myself, because I wanted the artwork to have an icon-like appearance and to convey a sublime feeling.
