About The Artwork
My art practice consists of finding images from various sources and combining them in new ways. This painting combines a mug shot of a woman with the body of Queen Elizabeth before she was made queen. The background is from another source as is the chair she is sitting on. It is in essence a painting about equality. The queen of England is not inherently superior to anyone else and to think she is a fallacy and anti democratic. But we like to pretend.
