If we could improve a little every day to be a better person, our society would probably be a lot more positive and productive. A lot of time, energy and emotion is wasted having to justify yourself to others just because you are different. Or sometimes there are even insults or aggressive attacks just because someone thinks differently. So, the story here is about occupying and occupying yourself first to become a better person and not judging others but trying to understand them.
