Muted Blue Rust is a heavily layered abstract painting that is inspired by photographs I have taken. I have always loved high texture paintings and I am inspired by artists such as Gerard Richter and Frank Bowling. Thick mountboard, high quality oil and acrylic paint and spray paint has been used and layered up to create this high impact composition.
