About The Artwork
Arranged before a window, eggshells contain and reflect a sliver of morning light. White eggshells are transformed into hues of lavender, pink and blue. Surprisingly, it is the tabletop reflection that captures the most light. Minutes later, that light is gone. A fleeting moment remembered by my paintbrush. This painting is part of my eggshell series, where I depict broken eggshells at different times of day and seasons. Although eggshells are discarded, they are objects of beauty, capturing and intensifying color and light in unexpected ways. This painting is created on primed archival canvas paper. It is professionally framed under glass and white mat surrounded by a taupe grey wood frame. Final framed dimensions of the artwork is 17" high x 21" wide.
