The huge old pine tree & the whitewashed house was an excellent subject, I had been working on number 2 for several months, but as Summer moved into Autumn new ideas presented themselves. I liked the shadow falling on the road early in the morning, & the reflected light in the tree. The dead grass a perfect counter to the overall tone of the light.
