The series "icons" is a branch of previous collections such as "wandering around" "travel notebooks" and "Citizens" in which urban art, pop art, fashion, music, social networks and events of all kinds coexist on the support. Thus, in these works I use the "symbols" that have influenced our way of acting during a period of time, or have marked highlights in my life as an artist / citizen (citizen). . Therefore, we can find works that include Uma Turman, Travolta, Marilyn, Ali, Amy Winehouse, Beatles, etc. In this series I refer to the culture of the image and social networks, the culture or generation of selfie, the pose before mobile phones and social networks, this social paranoia that has transformed the citizen and the way of relating to each other. One of the characteristics of this collection is that the works are always set up so that they work in pairs, that is, there are two works about Marilyn, the couple from the Pulp Fiction dance. The final result could be said to be like owning a piece of wall, a piece of street at home, with the exception that the process is purely classical in terms of the materials used and how to work them. As an artist I can not stop seeing authentic works of art on the walls of cities, works arising from the accident, from the daily deterioration and from that wear and tear, and that I have the need to tear them off the walls and take them home. From here, I propose the realization of a series of paintings in all these street works are the basis from which I begin to work.
